Jan Roubal, MD, PhD, is a psychiatrist, Gestalt therapist, supervisor, international trainer, and associate professor of psychotherapy at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, where he participates in the work of the psychotherapy research center.
He was also head of the research committee of the EAGT (European Association for Gestalt Therapy) from 2013 to 2019. He has published numerous research articles. He is also deeply involved in the theory and practice of field Gestalt therapy and works closely with Gianni Francesetti and Michela Gecele.
He has co-edited four books: “Current Psychotherapy,” “Gestalt Therapy in Clinical Practice,” “From Psychopathology to the Aesthetics of Contact,” and “Towards a Research Tradition in Gestalt Therapy.”
